Introduction
This Privacy Policy Statement discloses the information privacy practices for International Fingerprinting Services Canada (IFSC) Ltd. Information Collected About You
International Fingerprinting Services Canada (IFSC) Ltd. does not collect personally identifiable information about individuals except when such individuals specifically provide such information on a voluntary basis .Depending on what you request, such voluntary information may include your:fingerprints, first name, last name, address, date of birth, sex, phone number, personal biographical/descriptive information, company, billing address, credit/debit card number, expiry date and/or comments. The above noted information is destroyed after a period of 6 months unless specifically requested by the RCMP or other police departments to retain for a longer period for auditing purposes. This retention period will not go beyond two years from time of collection of the information. The credit card and debit card information are retained and are used for transaction processing and accounting purposes only.

Use of Personal Information
When providing personal information for the purpose of obtaining a criminal record search either by fingerprints or simply a name search, you have automatically given International Fingerprinting Services Canada (IFSC) Ltd. consent to use that information for the purpose stated within that request.

Only the minimum amount of information required will be collected from you and it will be used solely for that stated purpose. At no time will we ask you for information that is not needed to fulfill your request or ask for information without a stated explanation. The reason/purpose for the information request from you will be fully explained on the form which is required to be signed by you authorizing your consent.

Sharing of Information and Third Party Access
International Fingerprinting Services Canada (IFSC) Ltd. does not provide third party access to your personal information except when specifically requested in writing by you. This access is to facilitate your own attempts to expedite the response time by having the search information diverted directly from the police department to the person/company of your choice.In our commitment to keeping your information confidential, we will not sell, rent or lease or otherwise provide your information to third parties, and we will not provide your personal information to any third party individuals or companies without your permission unless required to do so. International Fingerprinting Services Canada (IFSC) Ltd. may be obligated to release personal information when we believe, in good faith, that such a release is reasonably necessary to comply with the law, or protect the rights, property, or safety of others.

Your personally identifiable information is never disclosed beyond the organization without your consent and it is shared internally only when it is required as part of the performance of our duties to complete the request of the individual.

If you choose to contact International Fingerprinting Services Canada (IFSC) Ltd. by mail, fax, telephone or email, and provide personally identifiable information, International Fingerprinting Services Canada (IFSC) Ltd. does not use the information for any purpose other than to respond to your enquiries.

International Fingerprinting Services Canada (IFSC) Ltd. does not disclose credit/debit card account information provided by you, except to the appropriate banking institutions and/or clearinghouses in order to obtain debit authorization and payment.

We will require and retain your credit card number and expiration date and debit card information for transaction processing. It will then be kept in accordance with requirements put on us by the Canada Customs and Revenue Agency.

Changing and Removing your Personal Information
International Fingerprinting Services Canada (IFSC) Ltd. will use reasonable efforts to allow you to update or correct previously submitted personal information that you state to be erroneous. Removal of your personal information will be made only in accordance with requirements set down by the RCMP or other police departments of jurisdiction as stated above (six months to two years).

International Fingerprinting Services Canada (IFSC) Ltd. is committed to protecting your personal information and has taken measures to avoid the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. The appropriate physical, technical and administrative measures have been put into place to protect the quality and integrity of your personally identifiable information.
International Fingerprinting Services Canada (IFSC) Ltd. has implemented security programs to keep information that is stored in our systems protected from unauthorized access. Where necessary, our systems are configured with an industry-standard firewall.
